why
why
did i
not die
at birth,
never
to have ever
known the evil
of this earth
never
to have ever
lived in,
nor felt
this flesh
of sin
never
to have ever
known,
a life
unwanted
unloved
and all
alone
for all
it's worth,
why
did i
not die
at birth
and
then
again
God's will
for me,
is what is
and what
will be

i have learned
i have learned
so long ago
never to let any of
my feelings show
and if i should ever
fall in love
i would never
let the loved one know
for i have so
learned long ago

there are no stars numberless
there are no stars numberless
in my stark empty somber skies
only the dense desolate darkness
for my water weary eyes
there is no lonely luminous moon
to give me comfort and a little light
only this lifeless lingering gloom
to fill this ageless agonizing night
no sign of a reassuring roseate sunrise
to dismiss and disperse this dreadful night
will this desolation and darkness be my demise
is there no promise of a dawning twilight

i have no sweet memory of
i have no sweet memory of
a one and only lasting love
i have no fond memory i wish
to hold on to forever and cherish
i have no treasured memory i would
relive again and relish if i could
i have no favored memory that i
would not let fade away and die
all my memories i would exchange for
a future in heaven forevermore

i understand sad suicide
i understand sad suicide
life not lived love denied
desires and passions not gratified
goals and aspirations not realized
thoughts and emotions one had to hide
the loves hopes and dreams that died
alien in this world always thrust outside
solutions and transformations that were tried
sounds of anguish that were not cried
darkness and daemons that dwelt inside
by society constantly cast aside
i understand sad suicide
a soul without God can never be satisfied

youth ever too young
youth ever too young to die yet dies
as all youth must yield to death
suddenly taken by surprise
death takes away youth's sweet breath
regret not the lose of dear youth
too young to waste away in grave
grieve not for youth and know this truth
that youth not one can keep or save
