                                                 the words on the wall the wisdom and sentiments
                                                 spoken in spray painted pigments
                                                 symbols and signs fragments and features
                                                 by philosophers poets prophets and preachers
                                                 artists of our age of anger and anxiety
                                                 escaping and defacing the mind mold of society
                                                 questions to an answer never received
                                                 quotes to answers never questioned or believed
                                                 drip dried words that weep and scream
                                                 awaken sleepers from their deluded dream
                                                 words that bleed written in blood from want and need
                                                 words that shout out loud anger against the crowd
                                                 pictures depicting the obscure and obscene
                                                 caricatures from the funny to the most mean
                                                 decipher and discern listen and learn
                                                 somewhere on that wall the last word you read
                                                 maybe the lasting word you need
                                                 and don't think it strange or odd
                                                 that it might a word from God
