                                                    realization


                                                    on the beach
                                                    dejected in darkness
                                                    discouraged
                                                    with my writing
                                                    i tossed my book
                                                    of worthless words
                                                    into the water
                                                    to my surprise
                                                    it floated
                                                    delighted i watched
                                                    as the waves carried
                                                    my ship of words
                                                    out into the ocean
                                                    it was then
                                                    that i realized
                                                    my words
                                                    were much
                                                    better sailors
                                                    than poems
