                                                    please take me home to heaven
                                                    i'm weary of this world of war
                                                    every day defying evil and death
                                                    fatigued and frustrated from fighting
                                                    terrified and tried in the trenches
                                                    gained ground given for graves
                                                    can't tell friend from foe
                                                    seeing companions crossing lines
                                                    turning face to fight against the faith
                                                    surrounded and assaulted from all sides
                                                    waging war within and without
                                                    all defenses down and destroyed i despair
                                                    i have no strength left to stay and stand
                                                    Your Word in my heart is the only weapon i have
                                                    it's Your will to win even if i die defeated
                                                    Your will be done in my death
                                                    alone i pray to You Almighty above
                                                    please take me home to heaven
                                                    i'm weary of this world of war
                                                    even so until i finally fall in this field
                                                    give me the will to fight the good fight of faith
