the moon

the moon most shinny brightly lighting the darkly nighting
shimmering silvery on wavery watering of salty sea
shipping ship full of shipmate sailors singing sea shanties
sailing with sails so full and sail fully across the starry sea
waves washing starry starfish onto sandy sands of the shore so surely
mermaid with swishy fishy tail singing a song of sorrow so sorrowfully
foggy fog over boggy bog so doggedly
trickery troll trampling along leggedly in forest be
fluttering fairy full of laughing flying so skywardly
lovely lady in waiting waiting for a noble knightly laddy love to see
dumpy dwarf with lumpy sack on humpy back triumphantly
dancing prancing down dell so delightfully
hobbling hob goblin is trodding and wobbling
down high hilly path to low lilly valley to cave unseenery
the tick tocking of the clock in the tall leafery full of a tree
both shorter and longer hands pointed so precisely
over his nunberly clockish face at twelvery
tis middle night in fair fairyland so fair to see and so rare to see
for merely mere mortals are asleep and sleeping be
and cannot see fair fairyland except in dreams most dreamily
