suddenly the night

   


                                              suddenly the night
                                              was lit up like daylight
                                              a great crack across the sky sounded
                                              echoed and rebounded
                                              sonic boom a blinding flash
                                              rumbling and an enormous crash
                                              the ground shook and structures fell
                                              a burning heat released from hell

                                              we were of one will and one mind
                                              we chose to be deaf dumb and blind
                                              from God we turned to our sin
                                              and thought without Him to win
                                              a war that was to chastise
                                              our foolish ways we thought wise
                                              now here lies our humanistic humanity
                                              that thought to believe in God to be
                                              nothing more than insanity
